Bill Gott 2nd-Russ Matt 1st-Ed Powell 3rd

Russell Matt of St. Joseph captured his fifth win for the season with 5 bass weighing 9.46 lbs. Matt used a 1/4 oz. white/chartreuse spinner bait up in the Pomme River tossing to lay downs and pole timber. Matt reported an all day bite on the spinner bait. The best results came around schools of shad.

In second place was Warsaw angler Bill Gott who caught 5 bass weighing 8.76 lbs. Gott was pitching a 10 inch blue fleck Power Worm around boat docks up in the Lindley Arm.

Third place went to Cameron angler Ed Powell who also had a limit of 5 bass weighing 7.73 lbs. Powell caught his fish on a chartreuse Wiggle Wart crank bait off of bluff ends and a cotton candy colored Super Hog plastic crawdad bait on pole timber on the flats. Powell was fishing in the Pomme River Arm.

Fourth place went to St. Joseph angler Larry Piper. Piper used a buzz bait and a 5/16 oz. black/blue Eakins jig fishing stick ups on the flats in Cooper Cove in the Pomme River Arm.

Rounding out the top 5 was Wally Dale of Shawnee, KS. Dale had 3 keepers weighing 5.57 lbs. Dale was fishing a Pop-R surface bait in the back of a cove in the Pomme River Arm.

Big bass award went to Cameron angler Gary Highfill with a fish weighing 3.50 lbs. The fish was caught on a purple flash jig in the Pomme River Arm.

The lake was clear to lightly stained and surface temperatures ranged from 73-77 degrees. The lake was approximately one foot high.
